Yellow Jambhala is one of the most revered deities of wealth and protection in Tibetan Buddhism. His golden appearance symbolizes prosperity and well-being, and he is widely honored across all major Tibetan Buddhist schools.

According to legend, when the Buddha was teaching at Vulture Peak, Yellow Jambhala manifested to protect the assembly from disaster and provide aid. Since then, he has been entrusted with the mission of safeguarding all beings, especially those facing poverty. In Tibetan culture, it is believed that sincere prayers or visualization of Yellow Jambhala can bring good fortune and relieve hardship. The blessings are considered even greater when offered with compassion for others.

This artwork uses the traditional couching gold embroidery technique, known in Chinese as “panjin xiu” (盘金绣), with gold threads outlining the deity’s image. It demonstrates the exquisite craftsmanship and spiritual devotion of Tibetan and Qiang embroidery art.
